Add the deposit, every instalment, fees and any required insurance or services. Compare the resulting ownership cost with the cash price. A low daily or weekly payment does not tell you the total.

Ask when ownership transfers, how early settlement works and who handles repairs, warranty claims or returns. Check what happens if the device is lost, damaged or stolen.
If remote device control is part of an agreement, understand which functions may be restricted, what data is accessed and how to contact the provider if a payment or restriction is disputed.
